Chariho Helps End Hunger in the Community

The students in the Chariho Community Service Program are working to help end hunger in their community. They will run a canned goods drive in November and December 2007 and deliver the items to the St. Mary’s St. James’ Community Food Pantry. At the food pantry, they will learn about hunger and food pantries in the state of Rhode Island. The students will also volunteer to work in the food pantry by stocking shelves. The students will also create a lesson appropriate for 3^rd and 4^th graders and teach it to students in the elementary schools in our district.
